The Soapy Bee Country Store & Cafe

We came to PA to visit the Waldorf estate and stopped by for coffee not really knowing what to expect. The shop itself is so cute! Then we met and talked with Michelle and she is amazing!!! The food is to die for. We’re from NC and I’d be willing to drive the 9 hours just to have her food again. Michelle was so engaged with us and it made our time here even more special. She gave us recommendations on places to visit and remembered us the next day as well. This is a must visit place!!!!

We stopped by The Soapy Bee Country Store & Cafe for breakfast, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, freshly made, and just what we needed to start the day. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and great food make this a place worth visiting. Me and my Boyfriend were passing through the area on our trip and let me say this store is absolutely the best place to stop into. We only got a few baked goods but they were delicious, 10/10 recommend the peanut butter whoopie pie! The folks were very nice and friendly. Definitely will be stopping in again! (Also very affordable, $9 without tip)

My husband and I ADORE this little restaurant! As stated by many others, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food is phenomenal! To top it all off, the owner is a gifted cook and has the most pleasant personality; always checking in on the customers to make sure they’re happy and enjoying themselves! When you’re finished eating it’s so pleasing to walk through the attached gift shop!

After a chilly winter hike celebrating my mom’s birthday, we were on the hunt for something to warm us up, and The Soapy Bee Store and Café delivered in every way. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was cozy, and the kindness from the staff made the experience unforgettable. We both had the homemade broccoli soup and bagels—delicious, comforting, and an incredible value. The owner, who also happens to be the chef, and her daughter served us with such warmth that we felt like long-time regulars. Although we didn’t pick up anything from the store this time, everything looked like a blast—fun, creative, and thoughtfully stocked. We can’t wait to come back and explore more of what they offer! Highly recommend this gem of a spot for anyone looking for delicious food, great prices, and genuinely kind service.

The soapy bee proved to be a delightful surprise. I had not known of the place but noted its blinking coffee sign. I had a wonderful breakfast of french toast covered with sliced bananas, bacon bits, and cinnamon tinted maple syrup. The price seemed high for the area but the quality of the food and its presentation were both excellent so I ended up feeling that the cost was reasonable given the value delivered. I am sure I will be back

Absolutely love! The shop is great and has everything you could need for bath and body, fun home goods, and gifts, including custom designs local to the Poconos! Plus, her homemade soaps smell amazing. It's also a great place to grab a delicious breakfast at their cozy café or a coffee to-go, which is a welcome addition to the town! I would absolutely recommend anyone local or visiting to stop in!
